Each month, French à la carte organises an Apéro Culturel series, it gives you the opportunity to explore France without having to jump on a plane.
The June session will be particularly interesting, as we are welcoming special guest François Vantomme, owner of the media LCA News and author of the book Le Courrier Australien Collectors’ Book – Part 1 : 1892 to 1945.
François Vantomme will present the process he undertook to write his very detailed book that compile hundreds of archives of French and Australian media and share with us interesting facts and anecdotes that linked France and Australia throughout the years. A fascinating evening in perspective!

This 248-page edition showcases significant covers from archives, offering readers a journey through the history and impact of the French-Australian community over the past century. The upcoming volume will be published as a limited edition in November 2024, with only 1,500 copies available. The book will be distributed through various associations and organisations across Australia.
